This is the video production service from camera operator and editor, Julian Taylor.
After a successful early career as a musician, I enrolled on a Film and TV Post Production course in 2010, where I was shown the basics of video editing. We spent an hour editing clips in the class and I was hooked, ordering the software as soon as I got home. I’d done a little bit of splicing of old Super 8 film in the past, but this was next level!
I returned to the classroom for a degree in Audio and Music Production at Liverpool John Moores in 2016 and through the Uni a chance came along to make films professionally for Wirral-based waste and recycling company, Bagnall and Morris. I jumped at the chance, subsequently making over fifty marketing and internal films as their in-house videographer.
Steadily building a client base, by early 2020 JT Video was well established in Liverpool, with an eclectic portfolio of films; corporate case studies, recruitment and staff training, music videos, events, educational, legal and documentaries. When the job requires, I work with animators, voiceover artists, drone operators and other videographers to achieve the aims of the client’s brief.
Editing is also an important element of my business. Many of my clients send me their own footage, from multicam interviews and courses to webcam pieces, Zoom meetings and handheld camcorder footage.
As a camera operator I have worked at shows at sold out arena tours, corporate conferences and live streamed events, using a variety of different cameras.
I have a recent (May 2022) DBS certificate and Public Liability Insurance which can be produced on request.
